While Obsidian Entertainment is working on its next big RPG, Avowed, it also has a little side-project going, called Grounded. The game releases today (28th July) on Steam Early Access, and Xbox Game Preview. If you are interested in this new title from Obsidian, you might want to know the Grounded file size and PC system requirements.
Grounded file size
For those who haven't been following the game, Grounded is a sandbox, co-op survival game where players have been shrunk down to the size of ants, and are tasked to survive the perils of the backyard.
Just like the characters in Grounded, the file is tiny. On the Xbox One, the Grounded file size is just 4.10 GB. For PC gamers going through the Microsoft Store, the file size is even smaller, weighing in at 3.74 GB.

At the time of writing, the exact file size for Grounded on Steam hasn't been revealed. However, the PC system requirements point towards a free HDD space requirement of 8 GB. This is, of course, not the exact file size, as games require more space to install than they actually take use on the HDD.
Grounded PC system requirements
The full PC system requirements for Grounded are yet to be confirmed. However, Obsidian did share the minimum PC system requirements for the game over on its Steam page.
Grounded minimum PC system requirements:
- OS: Windows 7 (SP1) 64bit
- Processor: Intel Core i3-3225
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti
- Storage: 8 GB available space
Grounded requires a 64-bit CPU and operating system to run. The game doesn't require Windows 10, which is great for those who still need to upgrade. Basically, the Grounded minimum PC system requirements tell us just about any PC built for gaming in the past six to ten years should be able to play the game.
